What a joy to re-immerse myself in the magical, wondrous musical landscape created by Roberto Sierra for his electric violin concerto, Ficciones. I had the pleasure of bringing it to life with the equally magical Bryan Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the truly wondrous Dan Allcott, and performing it together last Sunday at the Wattenbarger Auditorium at Tennessee Tech University.
