What a huge honor to interview Jean Luc Ponty, the father of all electric violinists, onstage as the the featured event of this year's Clazz International Music Festival!
We spoke about his incredible nearly 60 year career, his more than 30 solo albums, his collaborations with many of the most distinguished names in the jazz universe, and being part of the Frank Zappa band, the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Return to Forever 4, etc etc. I had the opportunity to share several dinners together with him and his lovely wife, Claudia, and to hear many behind-the-scenes stories that don't come up in the public interviews.
