in my studio this week. Matt is a hard rocking electric violinist who's getting a Masters Degree at UI Champaign-Urbana in electric violin (!) under the direction of
Rudolf Haken
. He's arranging my 2nd electric violin concerto, Between the Kiss and the Chaos, for electric violin and electronics, creating a computer-based version of the orchestral parts which will be manipulated in real time by Cole in Ableton software.
And speaking of being off the road for a minute, who should drop by with a big smile and a bunch of road stories, but my former next door neighbor and babysitter,
Lars Thorson
, who's been out for the last few years with
Kane Brown
. I remember back when he was in elementary school and was only an inch or two taller than me then.
