I'm finally in NYC for the world premiere of the new Roberto Sierra concerto with the fantastic American Symphony Orchestra conducted by the extraordinary Leon Botstein. Tomorrow we are doing a studio recording of the piece and making a full performance video as well.
But while I'm here, I couldn't resist visiting my old stomping grounds at the legendary Music Building on 8th Ave. where I rented a rehearsal studio from 1981-1990.

If you missed last week's rundown of the effects I'm using in "Ficciones" or want to see any past Scuttlebutts, I've got them all posted here on my website,
And if you're wondering what's up with my For the Greater Groove Podcast, it's been on a back burner for a bit to prepare for the premiere of "Ficciones", but I've got an interview with my old Turtle Island Quartet partner, violist Danny Seidenberg, in the can waiting to be edited and also one with my friends in the Sirius Quartet. I'll be getting back to it as soon as I'm home next week.
As always, Iād love to hear from you--just hit reply or comment/message me on socials below.
