Scuttlebutt - August 31

August 31, 2022
Hello music lovers and podcast listeners!

My guest on the podcast this week is my old buddy Mark Summer . Mark has had a huge impact on the progressive cello world as a founding and 30+ year member of the Turtle Island String Quartet. Mark reveals that he wrote "Julie-O", one of the best-known solo cello pieces of all times...on the piano. Along with other bits of wisdom. This is a must-listen for all TISQ fans.
Always a blast to play with my St. Louis family, Mike and Rob Silverman , seen here giving the Webster Grooves Piano Festival audience a little something special with their dueling piano schtick. That's Hannah Silverman on electric cello and Matt Pickart rounding out the string section on the far right,
